Narrative writing

This term we are learning to write narratives. A narrative is a story which creates a picture in the readers mind. Narratives always have characters, a setting - where the story takes place, a plot - a story line as to what happens. It also has a problem that the characters experience and a resolution -how the problem is resolved.

For our first narrative writing we focussed on the characters, setting and plot. We used this picture as  a starter and thought about -
Where are they going?
Where have they been?
What are they going to do?

Here are our first attempts at narrative writing.

They wanted to go to their home but they wanted to go to a café to have some bread before they went home.
